Daisy Mills
Hello! My name is Daisy and I am a compassionate and dedicated intern that has experience in many different areas. I use CBT in most cases, as it is a good foundational platform to begin the mental health partnership with you. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Community Health and a minor in Psychology. I am currently taking my last class for my Masters in Clinical Counseling and plan to continue for my Doctorate degree in Counseling. Over the next couple years I will begin to specialize in trauma focused services, play therapy, EMDR, and other techniques that will strengthen my practice for my clients. Communication skills, self-care, and awareness are some things I like to focus on when starting a relationship with my clients. I also have a fascination with the brain and how our neurotransmitters guide some of our emotions, feelings, and actions.
I am committed to fostering a safe, empathetic, and non-judgmental environment that encourages growth, self-reflection, and healing. In addition to providing individual counseling, I also actively engage in professional development to stay current with best practices and innovative approaches in the counseling field.
When not working I enjoy the outdoors, shopping, and tasty new restaurants. Another passion I have is that I love sports and have coached volleyball for over twenty years. My favorite place to visit has been the Philippines to see my brother. I look forward to the opportunity to start your journey with you to work towards your goals in a safe and supportive space.
